Coffee Scrubs? Do they really work...

Coffee scrubs it seems have taken off massively over the past year or so. I mean, come on. Who doesn't want baby smooth skin? Many have all-natural ingredients (a massive plus) and claim to reduce dryness, stimulate blood flow and leave you with skin that is soft to the touch.

I was kindly gifted by Decorus Skincare their "Coffee Skin Scrub with Orange Peel" and I decided to put it to the test. Now, I suffer from extremely dry skin on my arms and back of my thighs in particular. I also have Keratosis Pilaris which results in little "chicken skin" like lumps on my arms and legs. I have to exfoliate and moisturise a LOT to get any sort of smoothness, so I thought I was the perfect person to put the coffee scrub to the test.

I got in the bath and made sure I had wettened my arms and legs, I then took a handful of the coffee scrub and rubbed it on both arms and legs. I liked the feeling of the exfoliant. It was harsh enough to remove dead skin, but soft enough that it didn't make me red or irritated.

After washing the scrub off I got out of the bath and moisturised as normal. My skin honestly felt amazing! The small lumps on my arms and legs had more or less gone and my skin felt smooth and hydrated.

I'm sure that you would have to use the scrub a few times to get a true result but at first glace I really do like it and have seen immediate results.

1. Made my skin incredibly soft
2. Harsh enough to exfoliate but soft enough that it didn't irritate.
3. You only need 1/2 a handful per limb and you get a lot of product in the packet, so should last quite a long time.
3. Cost effective - £12.99, and as said before you do get a lot of product

1. Not overly keen on the smell. May put some people off but is not a major factor for me.
2. Messy - I made the mistake of doing this in the bath and it was very messy. I recommend doing it in the shower instead.

Overall, I would definetly recommend this product to a friend. The website for Decorous Skincare can be found HERE and the link to the coffee scrubs can be found HERE.
If you have tried a coffee scrub before let me know what you thought of it in the comments :)
