Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm Review

Now, this product has received a lot of hype within the beauty industry lately, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I'm always skeptical when it comes to these over-hyped products. Are people just saying it's amazing when it's really not? Nikkie Tutorials (youtube channel here) was one of the first people to mention this product and talk about it's amazing qualities. And since everything Nikkie says is law, I purchased one for myself.
I bought it from Superdrug for around £3.50 which is one of the best things about this product. Makeup primers, in my opinion, are astronomically overpriced. The fact I could get this one for under a fiver was a massive selling point to me.
I did my normal pre-makeup skincare routine but left out my moisturiser. Instead, I used the balm and massaged it into my face until it became almost tacky (note: it's not sticky in anyway.) The consistency of the product is creamy yet liquidy and super lightweight. It hold's a traditional male skincare scent but this doesnt last, thankfully.
I have combination/oily skin with my problem areas being my forehead, my nose and my chin - I get SUUUUPPPEEERRR shiny in these places. Now using this balm as a primer I noticed that it helped reduce the amount of oil that seeped through my foundation - result! It also made my foundation apply more even and it lasted the whole day.
Obviously, I can only speak from my experience. Have you tried this product? If so, put your comments, both negative and positive, in the comments below. :)
