Christian Dior Fall 2016 Ready-To-Wear

This is one of the most diverse collections I've seen for a while. Every piece in this collection seems mismatched yet compliments each other perfectly. The collection starts off with quite harsh, black silhouettes, which personally I love. Then gradually, more colours and patterns alongside less strict structures come into play.
At first glance, the floral patterns seem outdated and old, but if you look closer they become intricate and beautiful. That's what I love about this collection, you have to look at the details. This is something which people don't often do when viewing a new collection. They are so quick to judge at first glace leaving out the small yet important details.
The sensuality of the collection was also misplaced. Cold shoulder designs alongside plunging V-necks rubbed shoulders with high necks. This confusion of designs could show the progression of where Dior has come from to where it is going to.
Once a new Creative Director is found we will hopefully have a clearer picture as to wear this iconic brand is taking itself. Click here for the full collection.
